During our Paris private walking tour you will discover the main landmarks of the French capital and learn about the history of this city.
Starting with the Cité island or the Ile de la Cité with the impressive Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, you will be immersed in the history of the city. Paris was born here when in the 3rd century BC a Gaulish tribe called the Parisii settled on this same island. It is also here, on the Ile de la Cité, where you will see the remains of the oldest residence of the kings of France.
After crossing the river Seine we will proceed our Paris private walking tour on the Left Bank. Here, you will get acquainted with the medieval Paris while walking its tiny pedestrian streets and feeling the student atmosphere of the Latin Quarter.
Cross the river Seine again and follow the sumptuous historic axis of the Right Bank in order to see the emblematic places of Paris such as the Louvre, the former palace of the kings of France and the largest museum in the world, the Jardin des Tuilleries, the Place de la Concorde and the famous avenue des Champs-Elysées. It is also on the Right Bank that you can stroll through the Opera district and visit the elegant Place Vendôme.
The final part of our tour could be the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower at the customer convenience. This tour doesn’t include the visit of these monuments but you can plan to do it on your own after the tour.
This walking tour of Paris is particularly recommended from March to October to avoid rainy and windy season.
Apart from visiting Paris by foot, we invite you to discover the French capital during our Paris private sightseeing tour by car. We can also suggest you an option of Paris by night driving tour to see the incredible illuminations of the city’s landmarks.
